11 Upcoming Games Like Silent Hill to Look Forward to in 2025

Silent Hill stands out as one of the scariest game series linked to the PlayStation 1. The franchise hit its high point with the second installment. This series goes beyond simple jumpscares and common horror tactics; it’s a groundbreaking creation that stirs up psychological fear and offers a rich storyline setting it apart from run-of-the-mill scary games…

It shocked me to find out that the dense fog in the game stemmed from the PlayStation’s limited draw distance and hardware restrictions, as that fog gave the game its distinct feel. Also, the game’s soundtrack draws us into the atmosphere — hats off to Akira Yamaoka and his compositions. We can’t overlook the chunky monsters and spirits that, despite the PlayStation 1’s hardware limits, stick in our memories forever.

As you’re aware, Bloober Team is working on the Silent Hill 2 Remake (it’s coming soon…) But while we wait for its arrival, we’ve put together a list of the 11 best upcoming games that remind us of Silent Hill. These games will help scratch your Silent Hill itch. They might not be big-budget or AAA titles, but these games will draw you into the creepy, mind-bending atmosphere that made Silent Hill famous…

You can view these games in the video and list below, and click on the game titles to go directly to their Steam pages.
