2021 Steam Summer Sale: Our Top 5 Recommendations

The 2021 Steam Summer sale has already begun! This will run from the 24th of June to the 8th of July. Every gamer knows how to prepare for the Steam Summer Sale, which usually involves spending more than your budget, buying too many games, and spending weeks inside trying to clear the backlog of discount titles.

Every year, Steam launches the Summer Sale Season, during which you can find awesome deals on some games (up to -90% sometimes), to re-up on your library of PC titles.

Borderlands 3 is $19.79 (67% off)

1 17

If you enjoy colorful, zany characters in a space-opera setting with all sorts of guns to find and sweet loot to collect, this one is for you.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is $39.99 (20% off)

1 18

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is the eagerly awaited sequel to the acclaimed medieval combat simulator and role-playing game Mount & Blade: Warband. Set 200 years before, it expands both the detailed fighting system and the world of Calradia. Bombard mountain fastnesses with siege engines, establish secret criminal empires in the back alleys of cities, or charge into the thick of chaotic battles in your quest for power. If you’re clawing for one of the best battle simulation games that allow you to enjoy 500 vs. 500 army battles with up to 1,000 units on the field at any given time, this is a must-have game.

Far Cry® 5 is $8.99 (85% off)

Do you like Far Cry? Well, you must have probably bought and sunk a fair amount of time into Far Cry 5 already. For those still on the fence, I’d highly recommend it. The sandbox continues to be one of the best ones out there, and Arcade will definitely add to the game’s life. And let’s not forget the franchise’s history of weird, awesome expansions (*cough* Blood Dragon *cough*). As for which version to buy, it should come as no surprise that the PC version runs and looks the best, but the console versions aren’t really slouching either.

No Man’s Sky is $29.99 (50% off)

For the type of player that loves exploration and finding beautiful vistas, or for a player that does not mind a bit of a grind, No Man’s Sky has a lot to offer. For other players, it may be enjoyable for a couple of dozen hours and that is it. And for other players, the clunky UI, unending resource grind, and other small annoyances will simply be too much to get beyond the first troublesome planets.

Regardless, the tale of No Man’s Sky is one of a successful redemption that is a fantastic example to all of the other games that have launched in such a disappointing state in recent years. But it also stands as a warning to keep one’s expectations in check when anticipating an upcoming game because No Man’s Sky is a special case that stands out in this industry for a reason.

The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt is $7.99 (80% off)

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may be over five years old, but there are still plenty of compelling reasons to pick it back up in 2021. While The Witcher 3‘s graphics aren’t at the level of games released today in 2021, that doesn’t mean it looks bad. The game’s graphics were pretty stellar for their time, and they still hold up today; the game looks fantastic.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s open-world deserves a mention too; free-roaming is easy to do and full of interesting finds. Players can easily lose themselves in the world of The Witcher by taking the roads less traveled and picking up quests that way. With the bonus of the delightful soundtrack playing in the background and the scenic views around the Continent that Geralt can find, this is not an open world to be missed.
