Having a tough time with Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation? This guide has all the PC keyboard controls you need. There’s also a video tutorial that walks you through all the game settings.

PC Keyboard Controls & Keybindings
Mouse Controls
- LEFT-CLICK: Select a unit
- LEFT-DRAG: Select multiple units
- RIGHT-CLICK: Send units to a destination
- RIGHT-DRAG: Move the map (you can change these bindings in options)
- SCROLL-WHEEL: Zoom in and out. Hold to rotate the map; hold SHIFT while rotating to change the camera pitch
Keyboard Controls
- F1: Select an idle engineer (UI will show idle engineers)
- SHIFT: Display all current orders and set waypoints
- ALT: Show the weapon range of your units
- CTRL + number key: Create control groups (these are shown on the map)
- number keys: Select control groups
- TAB: Cycle through keyboard shortcuts for the selected unit or building
- Arrow Keys: Move the camera
- M: Rotate the camera
Shortcuts
- Hold SHIFT: Queue multiple orders (especially useful for Engineers/Constructors)
- Hold ALT: Display effective ranges for units and buildings
- Hold SHIFT with selected units: View their current destinations
- Hold SHIFT with selected buildings: View their current rally points
- A + LEFT-CLICK: Issue an attack-move order
- F1: Cycle through idle Engineers/Constructors
- F2: Cycle through idle Factories/Assemblies
- F3: Select all air units on screen
- Home: Zoom to Nexus
- CTRL + (1-9): Assign the current selection to that number. Double-tap the number to jump to that group (useful for updating rally points for production buildings)
- V: Combine the selected units into an army (armies support each other in combat)
- B: Break up an army (useful for retreating)
- F: Patrol
- Use armies (V) for better control—managing individual units is old school.
- C: Use Orbitals for powerful single-shot abilities (cost increases with each use)
- X: Don’t forget Upgrades—they’re essential for victory, especially Logistics
