No other game in the horror genre at that time had such lifelike graphics or a distinct atmosphere. Resident Evil gripped everyone by providing a gloomy and true-to-life setting… The tech used was state-of-the-art for its era (as you know; Japan led the way in the ’90s), and the game built a devoted fan base!
