Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Cheats and Console Commands Guide
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a super realistic medieval RPG, but sometimes you just wanna bend the rules a little, or a lot. Be it unlimited Groschen, one-shot enemies, or just not having to struggle with lockpicking so much, console commands have you covered.
How to Open Console Commands & Enable Cheats in KCD2
Before you get down to the actual commands; first you have to turn on -devmode; here’s how:
- Open Steam and Right-click Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and choose Properties.
- Under Launch Options, type: -devmode
Hit the tilde (` tilde) key (above TAB, next to 1) during the game, and voila! Finally you may begin typing out commands and goofing around.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Console Commands List
While you can enter ?_ in the console for a full list, most of the commands themselves aren’t particularly descriptive. So, here’s a rundown on the most useful—and fun—ones.
General Cheats
- wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 1 – Allows you to save without wasting Saviour Schnapps. No more having to hoard them or running out at the worst possible time.
- wh_cheat_money X – Adds Groschen to inventory. Replace X with however much you want.
- wh_cheat_addItem X – Spawns an item using its ID (see item list below).
Horse-Related Shenanigans
- wh_horse_StealCurrentHorse – Instantly makes a stolen horse yours. No need to visit a horse handler. Just be careful—ownership might reset after loading or traveling.
- wh_horse_JumpHeight = 200 – Turns your horse into a medieval pogo stick. Normal value is 1, but you can boost it to 200. Just pray you don’t take fall damage.
- wh_horse_JumpGravityMult = -0.1 – Reduces horse gravity. If you jump, you might just float away forever. Save before testing!
Combat Cheats
- wh_rpg_OneShotKill = 1 – Allows one-shot kills… for you and enemies. Makes fights hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
Lockpicking and HUD Tweaks
- wh_pl_LockPickingShakeOverride = 0 – Disables the annoying shake when lockpicking, making it way easier.
- wh_pl_LockPickingDOF = 50 – Increases the time before your lockpick breaks. Less rage, more looting.
- wh_ui_showHUD = 0 – Hides the HUD for clean first-person screenshots. (KCD2 also has a built-in photo mode in settings.)
Item IDs (For Use with wh_cheat_addItem X)
If you wish to spawn certain items, you can use the command wh_cheat_addItem X, where X is the item ID. Many of the IDs from the first game are still working, so if you’re looking for even more item IDs, check out our full guide—a lot of the old codes from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 still work in KCD2, so experiment away!
