• Read the in-game Guide entries. Seriously, read them all. They contain a wealth of information. Many of the game’s most basic and essential concepts are covered there, and new entries are added as you explore. Additionally, you can click on any entry to get a step-by-step guide on how to build items and find their ingredients!

• The basic premise of the game should be familiar to you by now. Whatever challenges you face, applying the skills learned from this starting guide will eventually help you overcome them. All menus and interfaces work similarly. Any components needed for a quest or item will list the ingredients you need, and those ingredients will detail the materials they require. Just mouse over items, scan, search, trade, and shop until you find what you need.

• Some tasks involve inventory slots, while others require placing items in the environment and interacting with them. You’ve encountered both types of dynamics already. Some will require specific NPCs, so pay close attention. If you can’t find what you need right away, explore, scan everything, talk to everyone, and try different approaches. • Planets have various hazards, and you might need to discover new technologies to survive them. Pay attention to what’s harming you.

• If you’re struggling to find a certain resource, scan thoroughly with your visor. Often, you won’t find certain resources until you do. If you still can’t find it, the planet you’re on may simply lack that resource. Try searching elsewhere.

• Don’t get discouraged. Have patience, be observant, explore, search, and experiment. The game isn’t as overwhelming as it seems. Take your time, enjoy the journey, relax, and have fun. You have an entire galaxy (and more) to explore. It’s not going anywhere.
