Alright, let’s break down the animal hierarchy for you:
Sheep take the top spot because they provide wool, meat, and skins.
Donkeys are super useful for cart pulling.
Goats are great too, offering wool, meat, and skins.
Pigs, Cattle, Horses? They come in a bit too late, and their benefits aren’t as impressive.
- Focusing on just a few species is the way to go—it makes building a self-sustaining population a breeze.
- Honestly, you might even consider skipping domesticating pigs, cattle, and horses altogether. Sheep, goats, and donkeys can handle all the essential tasks and they do it better.
- When setting up limits for your animals in the menu, keeping small animals at x10 and large animals at x5 should keep your population stable without over-consuming resources.
- And when it comes to getting Mouflon (sheep), Ibex (goats), and donkeys, it’s pretty straightforward. Just spot a young one on the map and hit ‘capture’. Trading with traders is an option too, but that’s more if you’re looking for a shortcut.
