How the Money (Gold) System Works?

In order to understand TFT, you need to learn how the money system works. After you’re done with the minion rounds, you’ll be able to get at least 5 money per match. However, you can gain more money through a variety of means. One being pirates.

Having 3 pirates will allow you to gain an additional 4 Gold per match. I don’t recommend this because pirates are complete trash in TFT, and losing health all the time won’t help you.

The second way is through Interest. If you have 10 money, then you’ll gain Interest and gain an additional 1 money per round. If you have 20 money, you’ll gain an additional 2 gold per round. See where I’m going with this? For every 10 Gold you have, you’ll gain 1 additional money. Interest can stack up to 5 times, and I highly recommend you try to earn interest, as gaining money is pretty important in TFT.

Another way to earn extra gold is something called a winning/losing streak. Whenever you win/lose consecutive times, you’ll be able to earn an additional 1 gold. This stacks up to 5 times. Thanks to this system, it’s ok even if you’re losing a little bit. You can get a maximum of 19 Gold per round at once, although it’s rare to do so.

Make sure to save up gold, as it’s really important when playing TFT.
