WoW Classic – Warrior Class Quests Guide

1 87

Much like leveling, Warrior’s can sometimes get a rough time of trying to complete their class quests to unlock abilities and unique rewards.

Level 10 Warrior Quests

Thankfully, your first quest at level 10 to get Defensive Stance and related abilities are simple enough regardless of race or faction. Orcs, Trolls, and Taurens of The Horde will take on the quest Path of Defense from their class trainer to find the Far Watch Post on the east side of The Barrens. There you’ll have a quest to enter the Lightning Ridge on the west side of Durotar and defeat the Lightning Hides and Thunder Lizards to get 5 Singed Scales.

Undead, on the other hand, get a simple quest to kill Ulag the Cleaver in Tirisfall Glades, and you can activate the trigger by the mausoleum nearby to force Ulag to appear.

On the Alliance side, Humans will obtain A Warrior’s Training to find and beat up a drunk Bartleby in Stormwind’s Old Town, and you can take his mug back to complete the quest. Dwarves and Gnomes will need to find Muren Stormpike in the Military Quarter of Ironforge and will then get the quest to kill Verjek, who is hiding in Dun Morogh to the south of the Brenwall Village along the mountains in a tent.

Finally, Night Elves need to speak to Elanaria in the Warrior’s Terrace of Darnassus. She’ll give you a quest to slay Vorlus Vilehoof back in Teldrassil, who hides on a winding mountain path near the middle of the zone.

Level 20 Warrior Quests

Despite beginning at level 20, the difficulty and length of this chain may be better attempted towards the end of your 20s, as it will send you to several zones to amass several resources to build up a non-set of Brutal Armor. Still, having even the chest piece can be worth it, as it can give you instant rage in a pinch.

For Horde, you’ll need to meet with Thun’grim Firegaze, who has made his home atop a mountain in The Barrens – just to the east of the north side of the Crossroads. He’ll give you a long quest to delve into Razorfen Kraul and other areas, including Stonetalon Mountains for the Smoky Iron Ingots and Hillsbrad for the Powdered Azurite. Completing this will get you the chest piece, but there’s more to it.

Unfortunately, this isn’t even the end, as you’ll need to talk to various armorsmiths if you want the other parts of the armor non-set. Ula’elek in Senjin Village wants you to get Satyr Hooves in Ashenvale, while Orm Stonehoof at Thunderbluff needs you to kill a Chimera Matriarch at the bottom of Stonetalon Mountains. Finally, Velora Nitely in the Undercity wants you to kill Dragonmaw enemies in the Wetlands of all places, and you’ll get all the pieces of armor.

Things are just as complex on the Alliance side of things. Start by finding Yorus Barleybrew at Lakeshire in the Redridge Mountains. He’s got a 1-hour quest to visit a cave and not die. After that, follow his directions to Stormwind to meet Duren Longbeard at the Dwarven District to get a shield and the quest for the big quest for the gear. Just like the Horde version, you’ll need to gather ingredients from various places, including Razorfen Kraul, lots of Spider Fangs from a Wetlands cave, and Chimera Horns, and a Galvanized Horn from Stonetalon Peak. Completing all of that will get you the chest piece reward, but there’s more quests to take on too.

To get the other 3 armor pieces, you must meet with other armor masters. Grimand Elmore in Stormwind wants Burning Blood from Worgens in Duskwood. Klockmort Spannerspan is in Ironforge’s Tinkertown, and he’ll send you to bring back Searing Coral from Wetland’s Menethil Harbor. Finally, Mathiel in Darnassus has a quest to venture into Thousand Needles to loot Suncorched Shells at a wyvern nest.

Level 30+ Warrior Quests

At level 30, you’ll get access to many new rewards like Berserker Stance, Intercept, and the very worthwhile Whirlwind Axe weapon. However, the quests can prove fairly challenging – especially to get the axe, so you may want to level up first or have a healer friend come help.

Pick up The Islander quest and head to the small Fray Island outside Ratchet. Here you’ll pick up The Affray quest which begins a gauntlet of arena fights against many challengers with no time to rest – ending with a fight against “Big Will”. Make sure to use your Hamstring to get a breather and pack a Healing Potion to gain the edge and win. Complete the quest, and you’ll get Berserker Stance and its associated abilities, but he’ll also have an ever-tougher quest for you.

If you’re up for the challenge, track down Bath’rah the Windwatcher on the east side of the Alterac Mountains river to get the Cyclonian quest. You’ll need to obtain Liferoot from herbalists, Bloodscalp Tusks from Trolls in Stranglethorn Vale, and the Essence of the Exile. This item can only be formed by gathering Charms from killing specific elementals in Arathi Highlands, so it can be tough to gather.

Finally, once you start the quest The Summoning, be prepared to take on the level 40 elite Cyclonian, who has a ton of health and is able to employ stuns and knockbacks – which is why having friends is strongly recommended. If you can defeat him, loot the Whirlwind Heart, and go choose your reward.

We strongly recommend picking the Whirlwind Axe, as it boasts the slowest and most high-end damage, which is perfect for leveling and using your abilities, and Axe Specialization makes it even better.
