ArcheAge: Unchained – Crime
Infamy points are earned by PKing your own faction or stealing their crops planted in the wild.
If a plant says “owned by X” when you hover over it, you’ll leave a footprint that someone else can report (walk up to the thing and interact with it). If you PK a faction member, a bloodstain will appear for someone to report. Footprints give 1 infamy, and bloodstains give 50. If no one reports traces of the crime, then you don’t gain infamy.
Once you hit 50 infamy you’ll be flagged to go to trial the next time you die in PVP. Then, you’ll be put on trial in front of 5 peers to make your case. If you’re guilty, you get locked up in prison for X time depending on your total infamy. If they determine you’re innocent, you’re free to go and the amount of infamy you earned leading up to the time you got jailed will be removed. (ex. If I already have 100 infamy, earned another 60 before I went to jail, and was found innocent, I would drop down to 100 infamy)
Pirates are jailed upon any PVP death on the main continents.
There’s a daily in Sanddeep just south of the marine housing zone (on the beach) that removes 20 infamy. There may or may not be Draughts of Forgiveness in Unchained (removes 100 infamy on a 3h cooldown). If a pirate reaches 0 infamy, they flip back to their original faction.
