How to Use Cheats

Go to Half-Life: Alyx’s game properties in Steam, and add -console -vconsole to the Launch Options. Press the Tilde key ( ~ ) to bring up the cheats console. Now look at the bottom of the cheats console to find the “Command:” line. On this line you need to type sv_cheats 1 and then press the Enter key to enable it. Next, on the same “Command:” line type the cheat codes you want to use from the list that includes: god for invincibility and sv_infinite_ammo 1 for unlimited ammo. After each cheat code press the Enter key to activate it.

Cheat Codes List

• God Mode (toggle Alyx’s invincibility) — Type: god

• Infinite Ammo (1 means it’s on, 0 is off) — Type: sv_infinite_ammo 1

• Infinite Magazines (1 means it’s on, 0 is off) — Type: sv_infinite_clips 1

• Unlock All Shotgun Upgrades (subsequently type 0, 1, 2 & 3 to get all 4 upgrades) — Type: hlvr_shotgun_grant_upgrades 1

Half-Life 2 had the below listed cheat codes you could enter into the Command Console during gameplay. They might work in this game too?

• 357 Ammo? — Type: give item_ammo_357

• 9mm Ammo? — Type: give item_box_srounds

• M1911 Pistol Ammo — Type: give item_ammo_m1911

• Shotgun Ammo — Type: give item_box_buckshot

• SMG Ammo — Type: give item_box_mrounds

• SMG Grenades — Type: give item_ar2_grenade
