Idle Pins: Beginner's Guide, Tips

If you’re a fan of incremental games, you won’t want to miss Idle Pins. This game was released on October 16, 2021, and features over 250 pins to collect and merge.

Tips for New Players

This guide is perfect for new players who may find the game a bit challenging. Here are some tips to help you get started:

Beta Mode

When you start the game, you’ll have access to two-color slots. You can fit any pin in these slots, regardless of color. If there is an available slot, simply click on it to add your first Alpha pin.

Allow enemies to overcharge. After an enemy has been killed five times, a new button with the Zone Name will appear. To unlock new items, you must kill each mob a certain number of times.

Click the advance button to spawn a stronger, better-dropping Tier of the mob. As you kill enemies and earn Chikara Points, the bar under the enemy image will fill up. Once the bar is full, click the button and the color will change to green. You will receive an Alpha Pin, and the formation will now have two Alphas. Repeat the process to get three Alphas.

To remove an Alpha Pin from the formation, click the ‘X’ button next to it. You will receive your first Beta Pin after merging two Alpha Pins. Charge enemies while using the Beta.

Main Objective

In your first hour of playing, your goal should be to unlock The Turtle Formation. This is a slow-paced game that requires grinding and farming to access stronger pins.

When two particle sets are merged, the resulting pin will always have a higher charge, but its speed may vary. Don’t worry about changing the Pin level multiplier or the SynthLab in your first run.

Instead of trying to reach a level 30 Pin, focus on getting as many Pins as possible at level 10. After starting a new Season, you’ll be able to change a critical stat on your Pins, making them far more powerful. You’ll also have access to a few more Season Points.

Unlocking Formations

Next, you’ll want to unlock the “noob” Formation. This formation allows you to use red, blue, green, and support pins. There will be seven slots instead of two, but not all the colors will fit.

After defeating two enemies, a new feature, menu, or craft will be unlocked. Consider donating Kred to the shop menu to get in-game items. Most players in the shop menu don’t use real money.
