Disciples: Liberation: Beginner’s Guide – Tips & Tricks
Disciples: Liberation is a tactical RPG that has captured the hearts of gamers who love dark-themed games. As the successor to Disciples 2, it offers a unique gaming experience with new mechanisms and tactics, but this also means that many players struggle to get through the game smoothly. To help you on your journey, we’ve created a guide with tips and tricks to enhance your Disciples: Liberation experience.
Recruitment Guide:
Recruitment is one of the most important steps in Disciples: Liberation, so we’ve put together a guide to help you through the process.
Unit Recruitment:
In Disciples: Liberation, accessing Yllian Castle is the first step in recruiting units. By selecting from the stone ring, abyss heart, graveyard, or temple, you can recruit new units to add to your party. Each unit has unique attributes, abilities, and stats that can be improved with experience points earned from completing missions and levels. Upgrading units requires gold and resources, and maintaining their level with Avyanna’s is important. You can have up to 50 units in your party, and they can be aligned with one of four factions: Empire, Undead Horde, Elven Alliance, or Legion of the Damned.
Lilryna Recruitment:
To recruit Lilryna in the land of demons, start by traveling to the Heurik and then heading south. You will eventually come across a building and close to it, you will find Lilryna. When you approach her, she will offer to join you if you talk to her.
However, if your intentions change and you decide to attack her instead, you will be able to fight and potentially kill her. Recruiting Lilryna has many benefits, one of which is access to her unique abilities. She has four abilities in total: Sweet Kiss, Seductive Charm, Soul Drain, and Dangerous Beauty.
- Sweet Kiss causes weakness and confusion in enemies.
- Seductive Charm heals HP and enhances morale.
- Soul Drain both damages enemies and heals the user by 25% of the damage dealt.
- Finally, Dangerous Beauty triggers an effect on enemies that causes demoralization whenever the user lands a hit.
With these abilities in your arsenal, Lilryna can prove to be a valuable asset in your journey through the land of demons.
Disciples: Liberation Class Guide:
Now, let’s move on to the class guide, where we’ll discuss the classes and their abilities. The four classes are Warlord, Hexblade, Seeress, and Witch.
Warlord: If you want to deal burst damage at close range, then Warlord is the best class for you. Its main goal is to deal physical damage and take out tough enemies.
Seeress: As a magic class, Seeress primarily relies on abilities/spells to defeat enemies.
Hexblade: The Hexblade Class combines magic and melee damage, making it a hybrid class that can deal both physical and magic damage.
Witch: The Witch Class focuses on weakening enemies, allowing them to gradually lose potency, stats, and die. This class is preferred for a more gradual and controlled approach.
Misc. Tips and Tricks:
So, here are a few tips and tricks for Disciples: Liberation to help you in your journey.
Mana Restoration: Each spell you cast drains mana, and the meter must fill up before you can cast another spell. The rate of restoration varies between 2 to 5 per turn. One of the faster ways to restore mana is by finding mana sources, usually found in bright rock formations and missions. You can select the soft blue light to restore your mana.
Resetting Skill Points: New players may make mistakes in their skill tree, but you can reset it by talking to Yllian in the main castle under the resources section for around 1,000 gold.
Castle Upgrade: Progression is the only way to upgrade the castle. There are four levels available, and once you have fully completed a region, you can go to the castle/Yllian to check if the upgrade has been applied. If not, you can double-click it to add allies.
Removing Poisonous Vines: The only way to remove the vines is by recruiting Bagthal. This can be done by completing the main story of Heurik and then recruiting them as a companion in your journey. You can then burn the vines by clicking on them. There’s also a skill that needs to be unlocked if you want to burn them at will.
Healing: Like in many games, health regeneration doesn’t occur after battles; it must be done during battles. If you can’t manage it, you need to find a health source in the castle. Another option is to use action points and cast healing spells.
