Double team is a basketball defensive strategy in which an offensive player with the ball is subjected to simultaneous pressure from a primary and secondary defender with the goal of limiting scoring opportunities particularly near the basket or from the perimeter.
How to Call for Double Team in NBA 2K23
Timing is considered first when executing a double team. Although a double team can be initiated at any time during a defensive sequence, it is usually best used after the player with the ball has already begun or has just finished dribbling.
A second technique for executing a double team is for the primary and secondary defenders to place their feet next to each other (i.e., lock their feet together) to prevent the player with the ball from dribbling away.

To call for a double team in NBA 2K23, hold down the LB button on the Xbox Controller for defense. If no player comes over, try pressing it again. Pop up icons should appear allowing you to press the icon of the player that you want to double with.
