How to Do the Glitchy Half Spin in NBA 2K23?
/The glitchy half spin dribble style has been a pain in the neck for lower-level players for the past 4 generations. It’s a difficult move to execute, and you’ll have to be precise with your movements if you want to do it consistently. There are two phases to this technique, and this guide will cover them in detail.
If you want to learn other dribble moves, you can read our NBA 2K23 dribbling guide for a detailed list of all of them.
HOW TO DO A HALF SPIN GATHER IN NBA 2K23?
- Before you start, go into My Animations > Playmaking Moves > Dribble Style > Shifty.
- The Quick dribble style is a bit faster, but if you want the glitchy aspect, you should change over to Shifty.
- While the ball is in your left hand, press R2/RT and hold the Left Stick down slightly towards the left (around 7-8 o’clock position). As the handler is moving down, quickly rotate the Right Stick counterclockwise from the top to down (around the 7’o clock position).
- The player will execute a backspin, switch the ball over from the left to the right hand and run back towards the opponent.
- As soon as the player faces the opponent, rotate the Right Stick counterclockwise from the top to down (around the 7’o clock position) once more to execute the glitchy half spin.
- Let go of both the Left Stick and R2/RT as soon as you rotate the Right Stick.
As you can see, the move can be quite tricky. You’ll need to practice a lot if you want to build up muscle memory for this. If you’re too exhausted or unable to execute it in a game, simply go for a spin jump or layup for that encounter and try again later.
