NBA 2K23 WNBA Features: Playable All-Star Game, New Community Goals & More

The all-new WNBA features in 2K23 are looking quite exciting. From a revamped community progression system to entirely new rewards, the WNBA has a lot to offer its fans. The goal of these changes is to bring the online community together, and 2K seems to have done a great job.

NEW COMMUNITY PROGRESSION

The new W Online community progression features six community weekly goals every Season. Community players can earn rewards by reaching the goal within the 4th week of a standard 6-week Season.

However, the reward is based on the contributions of individual players. Speaking of rewards, NBA 2K23 will be introducing 60 WNBA player jerseys across multiple seasons.

NEW REWARDS

2K23 introduces new epic rewards including Logo, WNBA Jerseys, and Coach MyTeam cards.

The rewards will be available in W Online and some are quite exclusive. For instance, the Dawn Staley T-Shirt is exclusive to WNBA. The Las Vegas Ace’s Uniform Card is not available in a market pack. And finally, the Candace Parker Rebel Jersey is only available in W Online.

NEW FEATURES FOR HARDCORE GAMERS

In addition to community goals, players will have access to personal weekly goals.

Achieving the community goals will grant the players with a Game Changer status. Players with this status obtain the ability to boost other players in W Online with special Player Boosts.

Additionally, Game Changers can also earn exclusive W Online rewards such as Team Takeover boosts. Here is a list of the boosts:

Boost	Perk
Accelerator	The takeover meter fills faster over time.
Extender	Extends the duration of takeovers.
Helping Hand	Gift a percentage of a player’s takeover actions to a teammate.
Resilience	Reduces the effect of negative action that would reduce the Takeover meter.

CONTACT CHALLENGES

Contacts can now issue challenges to make the game more entertaining. Some challenges ask you to team up with new players during Contact Workouts. Others set season-long stat goals for you to achieve through hard work and training.

Challenges will get more difficult with time. However, the rewards are worth the grind. You can get access to Historic Contacts or even earn Player Boosts.

COMMISSIONER’S CUP & ALL-STAR

Your MyPlayer now has the chance to participate in the All-Star games and the Commissioner’s Cup games.

NEW LEAGUE EXPANSION

In the W, you can unlock two Expansion Team slots by progressing to level 10 in League Popularity.
