How to Access the Dev Console & Activate Cheats in Silica

  • You can open the in-game console in Silica by pressing the ~ (tilde) key, located above the Tab key on your keyboard.

  • To view the full list of available commands in the game, type “help” (without quotes) in the console and press Enter. This command will display various debugging commands that allow you to modify game values, spawn units, toggle AI, and adjust resources.

  • With the console open, type “cheats” (without quotes) and press Enter to activate cheat mode.

Accessing the Test Level

To access the test level, follow these steps:

  • Open the console using the ~ key.

  • Type “cheats” (without quotes) and press Enter to enable cheats.

  • Type “map assettest mp_sandbox” (without the quotes) and press Enter. The test level will load shortly after.

Deactivating Cheats and Exploring the Test Level

Upon entering the test level, deactivate cheats by typing “cheats” in the console once more. Press Backspace to clear the console.

To board a vehicle, look at it and press “F.” To spectate and assume control of any unit, reactivate cheats, and then press “F” while playing as infantry.

Spawning Hidden Assets

Within the test level, you can generate assets unavailable in standard games, including turrets, planes, and older harvesters with improved performance. Use the appropriate console commands to spawn these assets and experiment with them during gameplay. Type “spawn” in the console to view a list of spawnable objects, vehicles, and more.
