In this game, you’ll encounter two key leaders from otherworldly origins – Resurectra (Path of Light) and Kastore (Path of Dark). These leaders arrived in Erathia via a spaceship, the Lincoln, which crash-landed off the coast of Avlee. A faction conflict led to their split, establishing bases in Celeste and the Pit, respectively.
Two Final Challenges
Regardless of your path, your journey towards the endgame will necessitate two crucial tasks:
Defeat Xenofex:
Xenofex, the leader of the Devils, resides in his fortress, the Hive, situated in the Land of Giants. A teleporter from Harmondale provides a quick route if you’ve been to the region. If not, you’ll need to brave the tunnels starting from the Barrow Downs and Mount Nighon. Defeating Xenofex and his Devils will ensure no interference when you reclaim the Lincoln.
During this quest, Archibald Ironfist sends a messenger to deliver a blaster and a plea to save his brother, Roland Ironfist, from Xenofex’s prison. Roland possesses the key to Xenofex’s chambers, making his rescue vital. Upon saving Roland and securing his key, you’ll need to confront and vanquish Xenofex.
Reclaim the Lincoln:
After defeating Xenofex, your next mission is to retrieve an oscillation overthruster from the Lincoln submerged off Avlee’s coast. To reach the ship, you’ll need to don environmental suits provided by your leader.
Be prepared for an intense battle with Droids upon entering the ship and navigating towards the control room housing the overthruster. You’ll first need to restore power to open many of the doors within the ship, including the one to the overthruster.
Consequences of Your Choices
Your actions carry significant implications for Erathia’s fate:
- Path of Light (Resurectra): Upon returning the overthruster to Resurectra, she uses it to build the Gate of the Ancients. This portal reestablishes Erathia’s connection with the broader universe, ending the period known as the Silence.
- Path of Dark (Kastore): If you return the overthruster to Kastore, he uses it to construct a machine that can replicate blasters. With this advanced technology, Kastore’s forces gain the upper hand, allowing them to seize control of Erathia.
In both scenarios, your journey concludes with the return of the oscillation overthruster to your chosen leader, ending the game.
