EA Sports FC 24: How to Score Long Shots (Controls)

13

Alright, so you’ve hopped into EA Sports FC 24 and you’re aiming to perfect those long shots? Don’t sweat it; we’ve got you covered. Let’s dive into the tips and tricks that’ll get you scoring screamers in no time…

Angles Are Everything

Nailing the angle is key. It’s like getting the perfect picture for the ‘gram. Find that sweet spot where you’re neither too straight on nor too wide.

Footwork Matters

  • Left-footed Players: Your best shot is typically from the right side of the pitch. Though there’s nothing stopping you from trying the left, it’s a bit riskier.

  • Right-footed Players: Keep it to the left side. It’s just how the ball rolls!

Know Your Players’ Strengths

Player ratings ain’t just for show. Roll with the big dogs like Benzema, Mbappé, Lewandowski, or De Bruyne. These dudes got the long shot ratings to back it up. If you’re trying to score from downtown with someone rated below 76, you might as well shoot your shot with that crush who’s way outta your league. Sometimes miracles happen, but, ya know, don’t count on it.

Know what each player brings to the table:

  • Positioning: This tells you how good your player is at finding space. Note: doesn’t affect set pieces.

  • Finishing: This focuses on accuracy inside the box. Doesn’t account for long shots or headers.

  • Shot Power: It’s all about the strength behind each shot.

  • Long Shots: Basically, the opposite of finishing. This is for those outside-the-box moments of glory.

  • Volleys: Those sweet, sweet air shots.

  • Penalties: A player’s proficiency from the spot.

Power Calibration

Aim for around three bars of power. Overdoing it sends your shot into orbit, and underdoing it…well, it’s just sad.
