EA Sports FC 24: How to Turn Off CROSSPLAY

So, you’ve landed on EA Sports FC 24 and maybe you’re not vibing with the whole crossplay thing. I get it – sometimes you just wanna stick to your own console crew. Crossplay might be rad for some, but if you’re not about that life, here’s the lowdown on how to cut it off…

Wait, what’s Crossplay again?

Before we dive in let’s break it down for anyone who might be new to this; Crossplay’s that thing where, say, you’re chilling on your PS5, and suddenly you’re up against some dude on Xbox or PC. It’s like mixing all the gamers from different platforms into one big party. The weird thing? If you’re on the older gen, like PS4, you won’t get to play with the PS5 fam. But everyone on next-gen – PS, Xbox, and PC – they can all game together.

Alright enough chit-chat… Let’s turn it off.

Head to Ultimate Team: Boot up EA FC24 and hop into Ultimate Team.

Sprint to Settings: Smash that R1/RB and swing all the way over to “Settings”. Press ‘X or A’ to jump into the settings menu.

Dash to Matchmaking: Once you’re in, slide over one more time and dive into “Matchmaking”. From there, get into Matchmaking Settings.

Adjust Matchmaking Settings:

You’ll see a couple of settings there. One is Approximate Location Matchmaking, which is pretty cool as it pairs you up with gamers nearby for a stable connection.

Below this, you will find “Crossplay Enabled”. Simply switch this option to ‘no’ to disable crossplay.

Save the Settings: Don’t bounce out before saving your settings! Hit ‘Save’ and you’re golden.
