EA Sports UFC 5: How to Use Head Movement - Tips & Tricks

When you’re deep in UFC 5 and wanna flex with those head moves, think right stick on your controller. Left stick? Nah fam, forget about it when avoiding those fists. It’s the right stick that’s clutch, always. Whether you’re planted, blocking, or moving around, that right stick is your key to sliding past those wicked shots.

Stationary Head Movement:

Hold it down and use the right stick to slip and duck. Flicking it up and down will have you bobbing to the beat, and swiping it side to side will have you dodging like you’re in a pie fight. Simple, yeah??

Head Movement with Block:

Now, you can start mixing in that block button while you finesse the right stick. But, watch out—it’s gonna drain your stamina like a kid on a sugar high. Gotta be smart about when to block and when to slide outta the way.

Dancing with Head Movement:

If you’re ready to level up, start gliding around while you’re dodging. Just keep in mind, the more you move, the more you’re putting yourself out there. So, stay smooth and don’t get too wild.

Advanced Techniques: Slip, Duck and Roll

Alright, you’ve got the basics; let’s dive into some next-level moves.

Slipping: Flick the right stick up or down to dodge those straight punches. Jump in practice mode, let the AI throw some jabs and straights, and start grooving -> it’s all about finding that sweet rhythm…

Ducking: Wanna duck under a big ol’ swing? Push that right stick forward and watch your fighter drop like they’re going under a limbo stick. Just be careful—you don’t wanna dip right into an uppercut. That’s a fast track to dreamland.

Pulling: Wanna feel like Neo? Pull the right stick back to lean outta harm’s way. But don’t get too chill or you’ll end up on the floor…

Pro Moves: Cage Smarts and Weak Spots

Want some OG tips for leveling up?

  • Distance is Key: Sometimes, just being a smidge outta range can save your hide. You don’t always need those fancy moves.

  • Avoid the Cage: With your back against the cage, you’re cornered. Your movement’s zilch, and you can’t lean out. So, own the center and keep those feet light.

  • Keep an eye on your energy. If you’re whipping that head around nonstop, you’ll burn out fast. A gassed-out player = easy target.

  • Don’t sleep on your lower half. While you’re swerving up top, watch those kicks and body shots. If they start targeting your lower body, switch things up.

  • When things heat up, keep it icy. Use those moves to set up comebacks and surprise ’em. Connect your moves, find those sweet spots, and light ’em up. And don’t forget: the best attack is not getting hit.
