Ark: Survival Ascended – Why You Should Never Play on Official Servers

Yo what’s up, fellow Ark players!! Today we’re gonna dive deep into the wild & kinda wacky world of Ark Survival Ascended – but specifically -> why you should steer clear of those official servers… I’m tellin’ ya it’s a whole different ballgame out there & not in a good way…

Toxicity Level: Over 9000…

First off, let’s talk about the community vibe on these servers. Official servers? They’re like a magnet for the toxic crowd. You know the type – always ready to pounce, throw shade and just make the game a living nightmare for others. The level of aggression you need just to survive?? It’s off the charts folks… It’s like you gotta be part of this mega tribe or you’re just fresh meat waiting to get chewed up. Not cool.

The Never-Ending Grind

Then there’s this – you practically gotta live in the game. I’m talkin’ schedules & shifts to make sure your base isn’t getting trashed while you’re grabbing some Z’s in real life. And hey, let’s say you’re a hardcore grinder & you get past all that drama. You’re still gonna run into some super shady tactics. We’re talking lag switch rooms where they cram a bazillion lights in one spot just to mess with the server, blocking off resources… it’s like a laundry list of ways to ruin your day.

Early Game? More Like Cheats Game

Oh, & the early game imbalance?? It’s a joke, right?? Some players got their hands on this GCM thing & it’s like they’ve got cheat codes. Spawning whatever they want, getting endgame gear from day one… How’s that fair play?

Lag City

And oh boy, the lag…. The servers are run through Nitrado, & no offense to them, but it’s like they’re using hamsters on wheels to power these things. Big fights? Expect crashes, lag spikes, the whole shebang. It’s like you’re playing “guess when the server dies” half the time.

PvP? More Like Pv-Please No

The whole PvP scene on official servers is a mess too. You gotta dumb down your game settings to potato quality just to have a fighting chance. We’re playing Ark, not some low-res FPS from the early 2000s. And if you’re into visuals & enjoying the beauty of the game? Forget about it on official servers.

The Unofficial Oasis

Now let’s flip the script & talk about unofficial servers. Man, it’s like night & day. You’ve got mods, less toxicity, & a community that’s actually there to have fun, not just ruin your day. You can actually enjoy the game, tweak it to how you like, & not deal with the nonsense that official servers throw at you.

The Unofficial Perks

Let’s break it down: on an unofficial server, you get to play your way. Mods -> Check Admins who actually care & will boot the trolls -> Check. A balanced, enjoyable game where you don’t have to dedicate your life to it -> Double-check… Why would you want to play on a server where people are actively trying to prevent you from playing???

Gentleman’s PvP

And for those PvP enthusiasts, some unofficial servers have what’s called a ‘gentleman’s PvP’. It’s like PvP with class – no total wipeouts, certain rules to keep things fair & fun. You don’t have to worry about logging in one day to find everything you’ve worked for gone because someone decided to go on a power trip…

Seasons & Variety

Unofficial servers often reset after a while & giving everyone a fresh start -> New mods new challenges new everything… It keeps the game fresh & exciting. You’re not stuck in the same old rut forever.
