WoW Classic Season of Discovery: How to Get Penance
Penance is a dynamic spell, a beacon of holy power that can either wreak havoc on your foes with 64 Holy damage or bestow healing of 171 to your allies… This potent effect occurs not just once, but continuously, every second for a total duration of 2 seconds; now let’s explore the paths various races must tread to claim this ability.
Dwarf Players – Meditation on the Light
Alright, my stout-hearted Dwarf friends, you’re gonna wanna complete the “Meditation on the Light” quest. Here’s how it goes down:
- Head west of Anvilmar to a trogg camp. Look for a chest sandwiched between two shredded tents – that’s your target.
- Grab the memory of the past from this chest.
- Next, you gotta kneel at the Altar of the Light by the Priest trainer back in Anvilmar. Do a little meditation thingy & use that memory to unlock Penance.
Humans
Human players, your path’s kinda similar:
- Your quest is also “Meditation on the Light”.
- Mosey on over to Echo Ridge Mine & start clobbering those kobolds. One of ‘em will drop a memory.
- Then, head to Northshire Abbey. Kneel & meditate there & bam, you’ve got Penance.
Night Elf Crew – Meditation on Elune
Night Elves, your quest has a bit more moon magic to it, called “Meditation on Elune”:
- Find the moonwell near your class trainer.
- Kneel there & do your meditation thing.
- Use the memory you get to learn Penance.
Undead
For my Undead homies, things get a bit darker with the “Meditation on Undeath” quest:
- Find the graveyard in Brill.
- Take a knee & start meditating on, well, undeath.
- Use the Rune you get & Penance is all yours.
Troll Players – Wisdom of the Loa
Trolls, you guys get to hang with the Loa spirits:
- Your quest is “Wisdom of the Loa”.
- Head to the Loa Altar in Sen’jin Village.
- Kneel, commune with the Loa spirit & use the memory you get.
