First up, you gotta know Ark’s like no other – it’s wild, it’s unpredictable & it’s packed with creatures that want to eat you for breakfast… But chill, ’cause I got your back with this guide; we’re gonna roll through the ranged weapons you need to survive & thrive.

Starting Small: The Primitive Tools

Primitive Slingshot: Think of this bad boy as your first step into the big leagues… It’s all about knocking creatures out with stones. Yep, just stones. It’s simple but don’t underestimate it – early on, this is your go-to for putting dinos to sleep. Plus it’s cheap as chips to make.

Primitive Bow: This one’s a classic… Bows are like the bread & butter of Ark. They’re quick, they’re deadly & they’re your best bet for hunting down dinner or defending your turf. Remember the longer you pull back, the more oomph your arrow’s gonna have.

Stepping Up: Crossbow & Beyond

Crossbow: This is your upgrade from the bow. Hits harder, flies straighter but man, it’s slower. Still, it’s a beast underwater – so if you’re diving for pearls or tangling with megalodons, this is your underwater pal.

Compound Bow: Late game gear right here. It’s all about metal arrows with this one. It punches through armor like a hot knife through butter. Got an enemy in flak armor? No sweat, this bow’s got you covered.

The Big Guns: Shotguns & Rifles

Shotguns (Double Barrel & Pump): Close quarters? You want a shotgun in hand… Double Barrel’s a beast up close – like, really close. But it’s a two-shot wonder so make ’em count. The Pump? It’s your crowd controller – lots of shots, decent range & a real mess maker.

Simple Pistol & Longneck Rifle: Simple Pistol’s your quick draw option – not the biggest punch but reliable. The Longneck? That’s your sniper without the scope. Great for dropping targets from afar & with tranquilizer darts, it’s a tamer’s dream.

Fabricated Weapons (Pistol, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle): Welcome to the future folks… These are your high-tech options. The Fabricated Pistol’s rapid-fire but kinda meh on damage. The Assault Rifle’s your spray & pray friend – good for mowing down packs of compys. And the Sniper? That’s your golden gun for PvP… Accurate, deadly & a nightmare for anyone on the receiving end.

Endgame Essentials: Tech Rifle

Now, for the big kahuna – the Tech Rifle… this thing’s a monster. Uses Element as ammo, which is a pain to get but boy does it pack a punch; it’s like having a laser cannon in your hands. Just watch for the overheating & remember, it’s got limited range. But within that range? Nothing’s safe.

So What’s the Best Ranged Weapon??
