How are bounties accrued and is it possible to get rid of them?
Illegal activities like stealing, killing civilians and soldiers or sinking ships may attract unwanted attention.
Repeated offences will result in a Bounty being placed on your head by a Sponsor, which the other mercenaries will be more than happy to collect.
As you commit more crimes, you may find that more bounty hunters set out to track you down, to a total of five.
Once they get close, you will be able to identify them and view their level in the Mercenaries menu.
There are several ways to remove the Bounty:
– Use the Pay all bounties option on the world map.
– Pay each Sponsor individually.
– Kill each Sponsor.
– Avoid cities and bounty hunters until it expires.
