Code Vein controls for Xbox One gamepad controllers. The controls in this guide refer to the default configuration.

A: Examine, Pick up Item

Hold A: Drain

RB + A: Combo Drain (Mid-combo)

B: Dodge

X: Weak Attack

X (Behind Enemy): Back Attack

RB + X: Special Attack

Y : Strong Attack

Hold Y: Charged Attack

RB + Y: Launch Attack (focused)

RB: Dash / Combo

RT: Open Gift Menu

Right Stick (Hold): Lock on/ Reset camera

R: Move camera

LB: Guard

LT: Parry

Left Stick (Hold): Open Quick Gesture Menu (press twice)

L: Move

D-pad right and left arrows: Cycle through items

D-pad Up Button: Switch Weapon

D-pad down Button: Use Item

D-pad up button: Gift Quickslot 2 (up)

D-pad down button: Gift Quickslot 2 (up)

D-pad left button: Gift Quickslot 2 (up)
