Controls for Railroader

Here’s a quick rundown of the basic keyboard controls for Railroader on your PC:

Default Keyboard Controls

General Controls

• 1: Selects the First Person camera

• 2: Selects the Overhead camera

• WASD: Move the selected camera

• Right Mouse Button: Rotate and look around

• Mouse Wheel: Zoom in/out

• Middle Mouse: Resets zoom (in First Person)

• Spacebar: Jump (in First Person)

• Shift: Run

• Control: Move the overhead camera faster

• ESC: Menu

When an engine is selected:

• B: Bell

• H: Whistle low, high

• Shift+H: Whistle low, high

• V + move mouse up/down: Quill whistle

• J: Cycle headlight setting

• 0: Track selected car

• 9: Track end of train

• Control+0: First person jump to selected car

HUD controls for the engine:

• Train Brake: Control the train’s braking (top left in HUD)

• Independent Brake: Control the engine’s own brake (bottom left in HUD)

• Reverser: Adjust the direction of the engine (bottom right in HUD)

• Throttle: Control the speed of the engine (top right in HUD)

Brake Indicators in HUD:

• White/beige: Brakes fully released

• Red: Brakes fully applied

• Purple: Handbrake applied

• Grey: Derailed
