EA FC 24: How to Find the Best Youth Academy Players in Career Mode

Hey EA FC Fans. If you’ve landed here, you’re likely aiming to discover the brightest young stars and build a dream team in EA FC 24’s Career Mode. The Youth Academy is a hidden gem and, if used wisely, can help you build a powerhouse squad.

Scouting

Start with Scouts:

Grab the most legit scouts you can afford; ideally, those with 5-star experience and judgment.

Send them out to different countries & wait for them to find the next big thing…

Set Your Assignments:

You can be choosy about the type and position of players you’re looking for.

Set assignment duration carefully; longer missions bring more players but watch your budget!

Signing Players

Focus on Potential:

When the scout reports drop, focus on players with a max potential of 90 or above. These dudes have the best shot at reaching at least 80 overall.

Player value is key! One million pounds is a good benchmark, but adjust expectations for positions like left and right back.

Keep an Eye on the Budget:

Don’t go broke signing every high-potential player.

If your Academy’s full, or cash is tight, use player value to decide who to sign and who to pass on.

Managing Your Youth Academy

Development Plans:

Use these to fine-tune your players’ attributes. This is where the physically strong player type has the edge, making them versatile and easy to mold.

Development plans also help in learning new positions quicker, making your players more adaptable.

Coaches and Training:

Snag Some Elite Coaches: To really amp up player growth, you gotta snag some of the best coaches out there. They’ll help your players level up faster, keeping your team sharp and on point.

Pre-Game Grind: Before every match, hit the training ground. Work your players to unlock some temporary play styles that can make them total game-changers on the pitch. It’s all about giving them that extra edge to dominate in-game.

Loan Glitch:

After promoting a Youth Academy player, try to loan them out ASAP unless they’re playing frequent football in a successful side.

Be vigilant while recalling the player from a loan as it can occasionally boost or reduce the potential by one or two points.

Managing Players

Dynamic Potential System:

Be mindful of this! It can make or break a youth player if they aren’t playing consistently in a good team.

The system is even more damaging in lower divisions. So, loan out fringe players to preserve their original potential.

Keep Players in the Youth Academy:

If possible, keep all your players in the Youth Academy until they ask for a senior contract. It helps in preserving potential.

If you can loan out the player, use the loan glitch to your advantage by recalling the player strategically to potentially increase their potential.

Advanced Tips

Use the PC Version if Possible. The PC version allows you to control and modify the game more extensively, using third-party software to rectify flaws and add enhancements, making Career Mode ten times more entertaining. With the PC version, you can stop the dreaded Dynamic Potential and add play styles permanently to your players.

Check out the official FC 24 YouTube channel. They frequently drop useful insights on mastering the Youth Academy and other essential tips. The “Youth Squad Legends” series is particularly compelling. Witness new stories and potential game-changers you wouldn’t want to miss.

Play Styles and Playstyle Pluses… These are more effective replacements to traits. They don’t appear as often as one might like, but when they do, they can be game-changing. Upgraded versions of play styles have an even more significant effect in the game but they don’t show up frequently; so keep an eye out for them.
