EA Sports FC 24: How to Change Free Kick Taker
First things first, free kicks in FC 24 aren’t just for show. Nah, they’re a golden ticket to racking up those goals. So you wanna make sure you’re not messing around with some random player taking the kick. You want your ace, your go-to guy, your sharpshooter on that ball, ya feel me?
The Deets: How to Actually Do It??
To swap out your free kick taker in FC 24, you gotta hit that L2 button if you’re rocking a PlayStation, or LT if you’re on Team Xbox. Hitting this will pull up a whole list of your players along with their stats in the bottom corner. You’ll see some fancy acronyms like PEN for Penalty Accuracy, FKA for Free Kick Accuracy, CRV for Curve, Foot for which foot they’re good with, and PWR for Power. Choose wisely, my friends.
Know the Stats
Now, you might think you’re good to go, but hold up. You gotta actually understand what those stats mean to make the right call. Free Kick Accuracy (FKA) is obviously mad important ’cause it tells you how on point your player is with free kicks. Curve (CRV) lets you know how much swerve you can put on that ball, and Power (PWR) is, well, how hard they can kick that bad boy. Penalty Accuracy (PEN) is more for penalties, but it’s still good to know…
Beyond just swapping out your free-kick taker, there are some other tweaks you can pull off to up your free kick game in FC 24…
Adding Your Second Player
- To get that backup by your side, press R1 (on PlayStation) or RB (on Xbox). This isn’t your main kicker; he’s there to offer some added dynamics. This gives you the chance to drop a quick pass or maybe even a little fake-out to throw off the defense.
Deception with Player Two
- Once you’ve got your second guy in position using R1/RB, keep holding it and decide on your next move: a shot or a pass. He’ll give a fake action, which can really unsettle those defending players.
Bringing in a Third
- If you’re looking to add another layer, press L1 (for the PlayStation players) or LB (for the Xbox users). Now you’ve got three players ready to execute.
Combining Their Strengths
- With your second and third players ready, try having one fake a move while passing to the other. It’s about finding synergy and making those defenders second-guess themselves…
