EA Sports FC 24: How to Mute Voice Chat

If you’ve dived into EA Sports FC 24, chances are you’ve come across those few folks who just don’t know when to hit the mute button themselves. If you’re lookin’ to shut down that ruckus, you came to the right spot. Let’s dive deep and get you that peace and quiet you deserve…

Basic Mute Steps:

Starting Off:

Kick things off by firing up your game.

Dive into the ‘customize options’ – think of it like setting up your preferences.

Then, head on over to ‘settings’.

Within, you’ll find ‘game settings’. Navigate your way there.

Focus on ‘user gameplay’, specifically the ‘audio’ section.

A little scroll action and voila, there’s the ‘voice note option’. It’s turned on by default, but if you want to drop the mic (literally), switch it off.

Quick Mute for Mid-Match Chaos:

Sometimes, you need a quick fix, especially when in the heat of the match:

PS players: Simply press L3, preferably before you select your kit.

Xbox enthusiasts: Your go-to is the Left Stick. Again, give it a press before kit selection.

Specifics Based on Your Console:

For PS4 & PS5 users:

Hold down the PlayStation button to access the ‘Game Base’.

Head to the far right and select ‘Game Base Settings’.

Inside, you’ll spot the ‘Voice Chat Settings’. Adjust as needed.

And if you’re rocking the PS4, just tap the PlayStation button and slide into ‘Sound/Devices’ to control the audio chat.

Xbox One & Series X|S:

Navigate to ‘Settings’ then ‘Accounts’.

Jump into ‘Privacy’. Once there, pick ‘Customize’ and you’ll get the option to turn off ‘Communication with Voice and Text’.

PC / ORIGIN gamers:

A heads up – you can’t directly adjust voice chat via the Origin Launcher. But there’s a workaround.

Open Origin Launcher, click on ‘Options’.

From there, either set ‘Voice Chat Activation’ to push-to-talk, or if you’re not in the mood, mute everything. Just remember to apply those changes before dipping out!
