How Does the New Stamina/Fatigue Feature Work in NBA 2K23?
/One of the features that players took advantage of the most in previous versions of the game was the stamina bar. Previously, players had only one stamina bar. So, unless it was completely depleted, they could speed boost or dribble an unlimited number of times.
Eventually players realized this was a game breaking mechanic, so the developers introduced a new stamina/fatigue feature in order to balance it out, which we will discuss in this guide.
HOW DOES THE NEW STAMINA/FATIGUE FEATURE WORK IN NBA 2K23?
- Every player has three boosts per possession which is indicated by the three small bars under the stamina meter.
- You consume one boost every time you do an explosive sprint launch or perform a hard go.
- Once all three bars are consumed, you will experience a significant decrease in acceleration and speed for the remainder of that possession.
- The goal of this change is to ensure players do not zigzag back and forth aimlessly with the ball. It’s to make players more efficient with their movement. It also encourages them to play smart rather than waste their stamina on useless actions.
The new stamina overhaul has thrown the community into chaos. While some players welcomed the change with open arms, others were quite unhappy with the sudden shift. However, it’s also something to look forward to in the new version since the old meta was becoming pretty stagnant.
