How to Fly in Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
So you wanna hit the skies in Might & Magic VI?? Cool… here’s what you need to know to get airborne & stay there:
First up, scrolls are your friend. Doesn’t matter what level your crew’s at, use a scroll & you’re up, up, away… But scrolls are like training wheels – to really fly, you gotta master the Air Magic skill & get the Fly spell locked down.
Alright, this spell? It’s legit – costs you 25 spell points to kick off & it doesn’t stop there… it’ll keep draining your mana as you fly -> So keep a close eye on that mana, or you might just find yourself grounded.
Now for the juicy bits – the longer you can fly depends on your skill rank:
- Got the basic skills? It’s 5 minutes of flight per rank.
- Hit Expert level & that doubles – 10 minutes per rank, not bad huh?
- Make it to Master & you’re basically a bird, one whole hour per rank of flying.
Remember, this is an outdoor-only gig – no flying indoors or in dungeons.
Controls are easy once you get the hang of it:
- Page Up key? That’s to go higher.
- Insert key takes you lower & fast – that’s the one you’ll use a lot since it’s quick & doesn’t hurt like the Home key does.
- Speaking of Home, press that & you drop like a rock – it’s a no-go unless you wanna play it risky…
Oh & if you’re feeling flush with gold, you can hire a Wind Master. They cast a Fly spell that lasts 2 hours once a day for 2000gp. Water Masters are around too, but they’re more about that Water Walk spell, also lasts 3 hours once a day for 1000gp…
