Identifying Monsters in Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor

When you click the right mouse button on a creature in Might and Magic 7, you see a display with info about the creature. If your characters don’t have the Identify Monster skill, you’ll see a bar showing how much damage the creature has taken.

The Identify Monster skill makes the display show more info, based on how good your character is at it. Tougher creatures need more Identify Monster power to get their info. You might think about not learning this skill for your team to save skill points, since lots of other skills can make your adventure easier and more fun. But if you do want to learn it, only one character should do it.

Here’s how being better at the skill changes what you see:

  • Normal: Your skill level is the same as the Identify Monster power. You can see Hit Points and Armor Class.

  • Expert: The Identify Monster power is twice your skill level. You get to see Attack Type and Damage.

  • Master: The Identify Monster power is three times your skill level. You can check out the creature’s spells.

  • Grand Master: You’ll always succeed. You can view Resistances.

  • Fernando

Fernando is doing what he always did, sharing his honest opinions about games whenever he can. The difference is now he is writing and not talking about it.
