Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Save File and Graphics Config Locations
Save Game File Location on PC
You’ve dodged a fatal snare, cracked an old puzzle, and made it through a pit of snakes. Now, the last thing you want is a tiny glitch to erase all your hard work… here’s where you can find your save files on PC:
<Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\2677660\remote\
What does this all mean?
<Steam-folder>: This is where your Steam is installed on your PC. By default, it’s usually located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
If you have installed Steam somewhere else, look there.
<user-id>: This is your unique Steam user ID. If you have multiple Steam accounts, you will see different folders; just look for the one associated with your account.
Save files backed up in the correct place can, if everything goes to pot, be used to restore some of your progress. On a more devious note, if you so desire, copying other peoples save files into this folder allows you to pick up right where they left off. This is an underhanded method of getting around some of the grinding you would normally have to go through and gets you right to the meat. Just don’t start swapping around save files for the wrong reasons!
Graphics Settings File Location on PC
Let’s talk graphics. You’re running through lush jungles and ancient ruins, so you want everything to look as sharp as Indiana’s iconic fedora. To tweak the settings, you can find the graphics config file here:
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\MachineGames\TheGreatCircle\base\TheGreatCircleConfig.local
This is the configuration file that contains all your resolution, texture quality, and other settings. If you want to make sure that traps are as terrifying and treasure is shiny enough, then feel free to open this file in any text editor and change whatever you like. Just be careful, for it’s not a good thing to change something if you’re not sure about it, lest you have a graphical mess of cursed artifacts.
For Console Players: Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5
Well, good news for the console players! Indiana Jones and the Great Circle keeps your saves and graphics on default. Your save files are secure using cloud storage, so all that is required is an active connection to the internet, and all will be saved.
As for graphics, your console does the heavy lifting, ensuring everything looks great right out of the box. If you really want to tweak things, you can adjust the display settings through your console’s system menu, but the game itself should do a solid job on its own.
