Your pilot choice is a bit deal for this achievement. Armor helps preserve you from self-damage, extra health keeps you going, a shield stops damage in the first place. As a last-ditch preservation effort, you can push your own Mechs with the A.C.I.D. Launcher, then remove the effect by repairing.
