Madden NFL 22 – How Do You Do a Hit Stick?

In Madden NFL 21, the Hit Stick move, first introduced in Madden NFL 2005, is a defensive play where the player can deliver a crushing tackle. Here is how you use the Hit Stick:

On PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5:

• Take control of the player closest to the ball carrier on the opposing team. You can do this by clicking the “Circle” button.

• As the ball carrier approaches, flick the Right Analog Stick towards the carrier to launch the Hit Stick move.

On Xbox One/Xbox Series X:

• Take control of the player closest to the ball carrier on the opposing team. You can do this by clicking the “B” button.

• As the ball carrier approaches, flick the Right Analog Stick towards the carrier to execute the Hit Stick.

The Hit Stick can lead to big plays and forced fumbles, but it’s a risk-reward technique that could result in missed tackles if not timed correctly. Also, consistently delivering hard hits increases the risk of injuries.
