Madden NFL 22 – How to QB Slide
How to Make a QB Slide
Your quarterback will become a runner as he reaches the line of scrimmage. When you cross the line, you’ll usually be holding the boost button (R2 on PlayStation and RT on Xbox), but if you press the Dive button (Square on PlayStation and X on Xbox) while holding boost, you’ll dive rather than slide.
Tap the Dive button to start a QB slide while you’re not boosting.
The quarterback will take a step back, tuck the ball, and slide feet first. You should be safe until the animation frame starts! Once this begins, fumbles and injuries appear to be extremely rare. The whistle will sound, signaling the end of the game. Don’t be scared to take a fall! Unless you’re trying to convert on 4th down, it’s preferable to protect your quarterback and the ball than to gain an additional yard or two.
