Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Preview

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is an action-adventure game releasing on 26th October 2021 on various platforms such as Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, etc.

A third-person shooting game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, imitates an old model rather than defying it. The cast of characters in this story is already as engaging as those in the MCU, and fans eagerly await how the story unfolds.

A successful comic at the box office, Guardians of the Galaxy has a huge range of alien worlds to travel, as well as side-tickling humor.

Gameplay

The player takes command of Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy via third-person. Using Star-Lord’s elemental gun and his jet boots, the player can defeat enemies. Players can send commands to the artificial intelligence to control the other members of the titular team, although you cannot control them directly. In addition to each character’s skills and abilities, you can combine them for even more damage.

The game allows players to unlock unique abilities called “Team Huddles” if they defeat enemies. Players can encourage each other in this way by singing and speaking motivational words. It will still increase the Star-Lord’s abilities regardless of whether or not the other Guardians get a good speech. At various points in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, players can modify the relationships between the Guardians and the outcome of certain missions with the help of dialogue trees.

Story

There has been an interstellar war several years before the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy, and the universe is still dealing with the effects of the war. Peter Quill and his Guardians of the Galaxy teammates, Gamora and Groot, are all interested in capitalizing on the situation and making quick money during their galaxy exploration.

In one of Star-Lord’s scams, his team and he are involved in a game of chance between two members. It causes a minor accident, which rapidly plunges the fragile universe into chaos unless the team can reduce the threat.

Combat

As a third-person shooter, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy offers few original fights to its fans. You will still enjoy fighting off the waves of enemies with Star-Lord’s hover boots, as well as the quips of the Guardians.

The game gives you access to Star-Lord’s dual blasters for taking down enemies. When you press reload, your weapon will jam, and you will be vulnerable to counterattacks if you mistime your reload. However, it’s a shame that Star-Lord doesn’t seem to be able to get a different loadout of weapons, as it would be weird to see him with a sniper rifle. In return, Eidos-Montreal implements elemental guns to deliver additional effects beyond just causing damage.

As Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy progresses, you will realize that these elemental attacks are entertaining for you but quite damaging for the opponents. With these elemental attacks, you can even freeze the enemies in place. The enemy’s damage increases when frozen, which is crucial since most of the enemies you will deal with will have an awful lot of punishment from the lasers.
