Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord – Best Ranged Weapons
There isn’t a single, most efficient ranged weapon in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord – each has its own pros and cons. We shall explain how the ranged weapons, such as bows, crossbows, and throwing weapons, work:
When using the bow, you must remember that the arrow drops faster with distance traveled – in return, the bow offers the best range. Reloading the bow also doesn’t take long.
Crossbow bolts travel on a more gentle trajectory, so you don’t have to compensate for distance that much. This definitely makes it easier to hit the enemy. The drawback, however, is the smaller range compared to the bow and longer reloading time.
Throwing weapons usually serve as an addition to melee weapons – you can weaken your opponent with axes or javelins before engaging in close combat. Throw weapons that have low range, and you can only carry a few pieces. It is worth mentioning that throwing weapons take up only one weapon slot – in the case of a bow or crossbow; one slot must be used for the weapon and the other for projectiles.
