How to Find a Companion

Companions are a nice and easy way to complete missions since you can send them with some troops to complete certain missions. Plus, they’re really good fighters. To find a companion, press the N key to bring up the Encyclopedia (which is missing entirely from the UI for some reason) and click on the ‘Heroes’ tab. Scroll down to the “Occupation” filter and check the “Wanderer” box.

There, you will find a list of all the companions you can hire and their last known location. They can be tricky to find this way since it will take you some time to arrive at where they are and they might move out when you get there. The alternative is simply to head to any big city, enter the tavern, and hire any companions currently in that city. Most of the time, there will be one there. You can know before you even enter the tavern if there’s a potential companion there. Simply click on “Go to the Tavern” and check out the top-right bar and you should see a list of potential companions.
