Post Moves (PS4 & Xbox One)

In NBA 2K20, if you learn how to make post moves and post shots, you can win the match easier. However, It’s not as simple as just pushing the left analog stick toward the basket and hitting the shoot button. Try irritating defenders by using power dribbles, fakes and perfect hook shots.

Enter / Leave Post

Press and hold LT to post up, release LT to faceup

Press and hold L2 to post up, release L2 to faceup

 

 

Post Pivot

Left Stick in any direction and quickly release while holding the ball

Left Stick in any direction and quickly release while holding the ball

 

 

Post Aggressive Backdown

RT + Left Stick toward defender

R2 + Left Stick toward defender

 

 

Post Drive / Spin

Rotate Right Stick clockwise or counter-clockwise

Rotate Right Stick clockwise or counter-clockwise

 

 

Post Drive to Key

RT + Left Stick toward key then quickly release LT

R2 + Left Stick toward key then quickly release L2

 

 

Post Drive Baseline

RT + Left Stick twoard baseline then quickly release

R2 + Left Stick twoard baseline then quickly release

 

 

Post Dropstep

Left Stick left or right toward hoop, then tap X

Left Stick left or right toward hoop, then tap Square

 

 

Post Hop

Left Stick left, right or away from hoops, then tap X

Left Stick left, right or away from hoops, then tap Square

 

 

Post Fakes

Move Right Stick in any direction then quickly release

Move Right Stick in any direction then quickly release

 

 

Post Stepbacks

RT and move Right Stick left or right then quickly release

R2 and move Right Stick left or right then quickly release

 

 

Post Shots (Shotstick)

Post Hook

Right Stick up left or right (close range)

Right Stick up left or right (close range)

 

 

Post Fade

Right Stick down left or right (beyond close range)

Right Stick down left or right (beyond close range)

 

 

Post Layup

Move and hold Right Stick up left or right (close range) while Left Stick is toward hoop

Move and hold Right Stick up left or right (close range) while Left Stick is toward hoop

 

 

Post Shimmy Shot

RT + Right Stick down with Left Stick neutral

R2 + Right Stick down with Left Stick neutral

 

 

Post Shimmy Hook

RT + Right Stick up with Left Stick neutral

R2 + Right Stick up with Left Stick neutral
