NBA 2K22: How to Play with Friends on Xbox One, Series X, and Series S

Playing NBA 2K22 with your friends is definitely more fun. To invite your friends and experience the competition at its best, follow the steps below.

• Select the “Play Now” button on the bottom left of the screen header once you’ve launched NBA 2K22. Choose the game type “Play with Friends Online” from the list using the left stick. This will open the player Locker Room, which will show you who is currently online among your friends.

• When a friend is online, their Gamertag will display under “Friends Online” on the right-hand side of your screen. Navigate to their Gamertag and press the “A” button. This gives you the option of inviting them to the locker room or viewing their Gamertag. Select “Invite to locker room” and press the “A” button.

• After your friend accepts your invitation, their Gamertag will change to “In Locker Room.” To proceed to the next menu, press the button with three horizontal lines located below the glowing Xbox logo on your controller. You can start the game after customizing your game settings.

• To proceed to the Team Select screen, press the Menu button (the one with the three horizontal lines). This page allows you to select the team you want to play as in the game. Use the right and left triggers on your controller to cycle through all of the possible teams.
