Outlaws of the Old West - How to Activate Admin Rights

Activating Admin Rights in Outlaws of the Old West

1. Locate the Correct Folder

Navigate to the folder where the game is installed. It will typically be in F:\Steam\steamapps\Common\Outlaws of the Old West\WindowsServer\Outlaws\Saved. If your Steam games are on a different drive, adjust the path accordingly.

2. Find or Create AdminList.txt

Check for a file named AdminList.txt in the folder. If it doesn’t exist, create a new plain text file using Notepad or a similar text editor. Avoid using word processors like MS Word.

3. Add Your Steam ID

Open AdminList.txt and enter your Steam ID. This ID is a 17-digit number that you can find on your Steam profile page. Save the file after adding your ID.

4. Restart the Game

Close the game if it’s running and restart it to apply the changes.

5. Activate Admin Rights In-Game

In the game, press SHIFT and the tilde key, which is usually above the TAB key. If your keyboard layout is not in English, switch to an English layout. Type ActivateAdmin in the console that appears and press ENTER.

6. Verify Admin Access

Press the ESC key to check if the Admin option appears in the menu.

Using Admin Commands

With admin rights activated, you can open the console anytime by pressing SHIFT and the tilde key. Enter any admin commands you need.

none of this worked for me. I am lost and can’t figure out how to make it work and the more research I do the less doesn’t help. It is all the same. I am trying to make these changes for a Single player for Outlaws of the Old West and I am unable to activateadmin or change any settings it just simply is not working.
