Phoenix Point - How to Capture Enemies

The ideal weapon for capturing enemies is the Neurazer, which you unlock after learning the early technology, Pandoran Capture and Containment. However, you first need to progress to the subsequent order, as each goal unlocks only after achieving the previous one:

  • Protect the faction’s shelter from the attack of the Pandorans.

  • Destroy the nest of the Pandorans.

  • Explore the technology: Pandoran Colonies.

  • Explore the technology: Pandoran Capture and Containment.

The Neurazer is a melee weapon that deals minimal damage but also inflicts 8 points of paralysis with each hit.

Paralysis damage follows a specific pattern: it is compared with the target’s strength value and then reduces the opponent’s action points accordingly.

However, the most critical aspect is that if the paralysis damage exceeds the enemy’s strength value, the creature will be completely neutralized and incapacitated. The level of paralysis decreases by 1 unit each turn, so if you aim to capture someone, keep monitoring the paralyzed target and inflict additional paralyzing damage. Also, be cautious not to accidentally kill the enemy, as your weapon still causes physical damage.

EXCELLENT ADVICE FOR SAFELY CAPTURING ENEMIES:

The safest way to capture an enemy Pandoran is to equip a melee weapon, as described above, on an assault unit with the Dash ability. This allows the unit to move without using any of the four available action points. Consequently, you can use all four points for attacks, inflicting a total of 32 units of paralyzing damage, which is sufficient to completely paralyze enemies with up to 32 strength units.

Successfully paralyzing and capturing the enemy is only part of the job. The second part involves having special facilities at your base to house the Pandorans. The only building designed for this purpose is the Containment. This facility can be constructed at any base where there is available space, but it also requires resources.

Each Containment facility offers 50 free slots. Different types of enemies require varying amounts of these slots. Smaller creatures occupy 1-2 slots, while larger ones may require more. On the “Personnel” tab, you can check the status of captured Pandorans and the number of free slots available.
