Planet Coaster 2: Where to Find Your Save Files
If you’re building the dream theme park in Planet Coaster 2, then no doubt you have already invested hours into crafting each coaster loop, ironing out the park footpaths, and placing snack stalls. This Frontier Developments gem takes creativity with theme parks to new dimensions, giving you incredible latitude in designing that park of which you’ve always dreamed. But with all that hard work, you definitely don’t want to lose your progress! Below is a quick guide as to where you will find your save files so you may easily back them up, transfer them, or just keep them safe.
On Windows PC
By default, your saves are kept in this folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster 2\<user-id>\Saves\
How to Access Your Saves
- Open File Explorer on your computer.
- Copy and paste the path above into the address bar at the top.
- Replace <user-id> if needed, though usually, it’s set up automatically.
- Hit Enter, and you’ll land in the save folder where all your parks are stored!
Managing and Backing Up Your Saves
Make Regular Backups
All you have to do is copy the files in this folder and paste them somewhere safe, such as a USB drive or cloud storage. That way, when you change computers or encounter some technological hiccup, your park is safe.
Easily Transfer Your Parks
Got a new PC or want to share your park with friends? Just grab the files in this folder, copy them, and place them in the same folder path on another computer that has Planet Coaster 2 installed.
