PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS – How to Change the FPS Cap
How to Change the FPS Limit Permanently
Some of you might be wondering how you can cap your FPS in PUBG. The default cap is 1000fps, believe it or not. This will make your computer strain or become noisy. Here’s a way to cap it.
Access PUBG files in your Steam directory
1. In your game library click “Games” then find and right click “PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS”
2. Select “Properties”
3. Select “local files” tab
4. Select “Browse Local files”
This will open up your PUBG folder in the Steam directory.
Go to TslGame, Saved, Config, WindowsNoEditor, GameUserSettings.
From here, you can change the settings to your desire. Vsync and etc. are also available, even if they’re not in the in-game menu.
If you scroll down a little, you’ll find FrameRateLimit=1000.000000
Change the value to whatever you want.
e.g
FrameRateLimit=60.000000
FrameRateLimit=100.00000
Just change the other values to True/False if you think it’ll help.
