Post Scriptum – Teams and Sections
This is the first screen when you join a server.
You can see the team selection (E), the time remaining for the attacker and tickets for both teams (F) and the selection tab for faction / section and your own loadout (G).
IN POST SCRIPTUM TIME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN TICKETS
After you join a team and selection the section tab, this screen will appear.
First off, you will have to decide in what kind of section you wish to serve.
There are 4 options :
- Commander
- Infantry
- Logistics
- Armor
- Commander (A)
-There is only 1 commander. He is in charge of the offmap support like airstrikes and artillery.
-He also coordinates between the different sections.
-To call in support, you need to be near a radio (In your main spawn, near a fob tent or the commander car). Just right click on the map point where you want it to drop and then select your support option. (If you are in range of a radio, a radio mark appears top left)
The commander is the only one who can enter the commander car.
WATCH FOR FRIENDLY FIRE, ARTILLERY AND BOMBS HAVE QUITE A SPLASH RADIUS
- Infantry (B)
-The backbone of the army, these squads consist of a sergeant and 8 privates.
-Sergeant kits are often general combat kits with added binoculars and the choice of either a bolt action rifle or an automatic weapon. (STG44/MP40 for Axis, Sten gun for Allied).
-The private kits are well varied, ranging from simple kits like the medic or rifleman to expert kits like the Anti Tank soldier or sharpshooter.
* As opposed to squad, in PS a medic revives with a syringe and heals with his bandages. Keep an eye out for wounded soldiers who bandaged themselves to top them off in health.
- Logistics (C)
This squad only consists of 4 men and has as main purpose the building of FOB’s (on attack) or fortifying the next flag (on defense). The kits are not as varied as in an infantry squad, but they all have an explosive gadget, ranging from mines to satchels.
This section is the only section that can enter supply trucks. (You need to be in range of your truck to build, check top left for the icon. Some deployables also require you to be in FOB range.)
- Armor (D)
This squad also consists of only 4 men and has as sole purpose the operation of armored vehicles.
Sergeants have a submachine gun but crewmen are armed solely with a pistol and grenades.
This squad is the only squad who can enter armored cars and tanks.
WHEN IN ARMOR, BE WARY OF ENEMY AT INFANTRY OR SAPPERS. DO NOT HOLD POSITION FOR TOO LONG, KEEP MOVING UNLESS YOU HAVE CLOSE INFANTRY SUPPORT
After you’ve made your choice, you will be able to choose your loadout. For this example, i’ve joined an infantry section. Should you want to leave a section, you can press leave (A) top right or go back to the section screen and find your section and leave. You cannot join a new section before you leave the old one. In the screen below (B), you see the kits chosen by your sergeant and your fellow section members.
There are only a limited amount of specialist kits available in a section, determined by the amount of people in the section. There is also a maximum of 2 medics. When you choose a loadout (C), you can check to the bottom right for the contents of the loadout (D).
YOU CAN ALSO PLAY WITHOUT SECTION AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE LOADOUT SCREEN BUT YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PLAY AS RIFLEMAN
