Reputation – Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor
Reputation in Might and Magic VII is region-specific. This means that the reputation you’ve cultivated in one region of Erathia won’t affect how you’re perceived in other regions. It has both positives and negatives; your unpleasant actions in one place won’t tarnish your name elsewhere, but your good deeds also won’t be recognized in regions you’ve never visited.
Reputation Value
Although you can’t see the exact numerical value of your Reputation, you can estimate it based on the label displayed on the Quick Reference screen. The values are correlated as follows:
Reputation |
Value |
---|---|
Hated | 25 or above |
Unfriendly | 6 to 24 |
Neutral | -5 to 5 |
Friendly | -24 to -6 |
Liked | -25 or below |
In a somewhat unusual system, a higher Reputation value actually indicates that you are more despised, while a negative value suggests that you’re more liked.
How Actions Affect Reputation
Several actions can impact your Reputation. Understanding how these actions affect your reputation can help you effectively navigate the reputation system:

Fail at Stealing | +2 |
Kill a Peasant | +2 |
Kill a Guard | +2 |
Complete a Quest | -5 to -10 |
