Silica: Human Faction Vehicles Guide

24 4

In Silica, the Human Faction boasts a wide range of powerful and versatile units, each with its unique strengths and weaknesses. Here’s an essential guide to the Human Faction vehicles in Silica. We’re talking about everything from the powerful Railgun Tank to the swift Hover Tank, the handy Light Quad, and even the resource-gathering Harvester.

Railgun Tank

The Railgun Tank is a heavyweight unit in the Human Faction arsenal. Its primary weapon is a powerful railgun that deals tremendous damage to enemy vehicles, capable of taking over 10,000 HP in a single shot. Its stealth mode is another key feature, which is activated by going into Siege or Turret mode. In this mode, the tank shuts off all its lights and jets, effectively camouflaging it, especially during night-time.

Despite its lack of a boost ability, it compensates with a jump function. By simply pressing the spacebar, the tank can take off, which also reactivates the lights and jets. The secondary armament for the Railgun Tank is its rocket pods. These lock-on pods function similarly to the heavy units’ rocket pods, launching a full salvo that can inflict significant damage to vehicles.

While the Railgun Tank currently lacks optics, it’s anticipated that a sniper optics feature will be added. This tank is primarily anti-vehicle & is not particularly effective against infantry due to its lack of machine gun capabilities. However, it is also potent against buildings, making it an all-rounder siege, anti-vehicle, and tank destroyer unit.

Hover Tank

The Hover Tank is a fast and agile unit. It’s equipped with a powerful cannon, capable of dealing significant damage to enemy vehicles. The tank is equipped with jets, allowing it to hover and move swiftly across the battlefield. However, it does not have the ability to boost.

One unique aspect of the Hover Tank is its implanted Siege mode or turret mode. In this mode, the tank lands, turns off all lights and jets, and becomes a stealth unit, especially at night. This allows the Hover Tank to fire from a concealed position, delivering devastating blows to enemy units.

Light Quad

The Light Quad is a versatile and nimble unit, designed to traverse sandy wastes and rocky terrain with ease. This 4×4 vehicle is perfect for swiftly and efficiently flanking opposing forces, though it isn’t equipped to handle heavier targets like tanks. Primarily, the Light Quad is well-suited to deal with infantry and makes for an excellent reconnaissance unit. Its speed allows it to cover large areas in a short amount of time making it a valuable asset in gathering intelligence and scouting enemy positions.

Armed Transport

Armed with a grenade launcher and machine gun, the Armed Transport is a nimble, medium-armored vehicle designed for delivering troops into the heat of the battlefield. This unit can easily navigate vast dunes and provides an acceptable level of protection for the infantry it carries. Its role is pivotal in transporting and deploying soldiers quickly and safely to strategic locations on the battlefield.

Heavy Quad

The Heavy Quad is a reinforced version of the Light Quad, designed to take a beating. Its heavy armor shields the crew from projectiles and melee attacks from the local wildlife. The Heavy Quad excels in seek-and-destroy missions against lighter vehicles and infantry. It can also serve a protective role for Harvesters, providing much-needed defense during resource collection.

Light Armored Car

Equipped with a 30mm cannon, this medium-armored assault vehicle is perfect for flanking heavier targets. Its rugged design allows it to withstand a fair amount of punishment in the dunes. Smaller creatures and medium vehicles pose little threat to this unit, making it a formidable adversary in a combat scenario.

Heavy Armored Car

A step up from its lighter counterpart, the Heavy Armored Car boasts a larger cannon and a heavier machine gun turret, making it capable of engaging even the largest of targets. The top-mounted machine gun turret easily deals with smaller threats, making it a well-rounded vehicle overall. However, the Heavy Armored Car sacrifices heavy armor for speed, making it vulnerable to heavier units.

Siege Tank

As the main siege unit for the humans, the Siege Tank is a behemoth on the battlefield. It has a limited boost capacity and moves at a slow pace, akin to the Light Quad. Despite its bulk, it can land on the ground, turning off its lights in the process for a stealthy approach. To lift off, simply press the spacebar.

The Siege Tank’s main armament is a force to be reckoned with, capable of causing substantial damage to both buildings and units. It can single-handedly one-shot tanks and inflict damage on nearby ones as well. Its weapon also shows no signs of drop when fired, allowing it to hit targets at long ranges. This tank is the ultimate choice for dealing with buildings and large groups of units.

Harvester

The Harvester is the primary economic unit for the Human Faction. While it may not have any offensive abilities, it does possess a high crash damage multiplier. This means that it can cause considerable damage to an enemy unit if it crashes into it. The Harvester has a generous health pool of 100,000 HP.

Its main feature is the large blades it uses to pick up Balterium. These crystals glow blue in the ground, and the Harvester’s blades are used to collect them. The Harvester features an accessible interior, which includes a loading bay and an elevator. These allow players to navigate to different sections of the Harvester, including a defensive spot near the blades and the main control section.

Rocket Launcher

The Rocket Launcher unit is a mobile rocket artillery battery equipped with four launch tubes. Capable of dealing catastrophic damage with each barrage, it can dispose of entire infantry platoons and reduce structures to rubble. Heavily armored units rarely withstand its onslaught. However, the Rocket Launcher’s medium armor and minimum attack distance leave it vulnerable to counter-attacks.

Elite Aircraft (not officially in-game)

Finally, there is a special unit, the Elite Aircraft, which is currently not officially in the game. It’s a flyable unit with a health pool of 3000. Its primary weapons are machine guns, capable of inflicting significant damage, especially to Harvesters.
