Armies can hide in forests. If your movement waypoint fully fits on a forest, you can hide there. Simply move your army inside it. Your army will stay hidden for as long as it remains in that forest.
Important: a marching army cannot hide! It is focused on moving swiftly, not stealthily…
- If an army runs into a hidden enemy, it will be ambushed → Ambush Battles! Your enemies can also hide, so be careful when marching your armies! Attacking a marching army also results in an ambush.
- To detect hidden armies, you can recruit units with the Scout perk, stay close to friendly locations with the Lookout perk, or use specific cards such as Eila’s Guidance from Lorelai.
- Tip: if an army stays hidden when the turn starts and ends (for example it moves from one forest to another closeby), their entire move will be invisible to enemies. This is especially useful in multiplayer matches to sneak up on your opponents!
